The 4th Annual Farmington Valley Acoustic Festival is coming on Saturday, October 19. Set amongst the beautiful 380 acres of forest and fall foliage at Winding Trails in Farmington, there will be music on three stages, as well as a song contest, two workshops, and free beer from local breweries. The festival features chart-topping performers, official state troubadours, and award-winning songwriters from local and nationally-touring acts. This one-day music festival runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and is rain or shine. Performances take place in the forest amphitheater, lodges, and pondside. Outdoor stages move indoors in the event of rain. Attendees can also drop-in to the Vocal Coaching Workshop with Nashville recording artist Kaye Pere, and the Craft and Business of Songwriting Workshop with Grammy award-winning songwriter Bill Pere. Songwriters are also invited to sign-up for the judged Song Contest with prizes offered by the Connecticut Songwriters Association and Connecticut Songwriting Academy. Space is limited and preregistration is required for the Song Contest.
